Someone posting to Harry Potter Anonymous has said that they have read
book 4 as they work for a book shop.
The message is that it is not a Weasley that dies.

In reply to will Hagrid dies question JKR has said "It is true that
there will be deaths in Book 4 for the first time. It is likely that the
reader will only care about one of the deaths. I can't say who it is,
but I have certainly never told anyone that it's Hagrid -- hint, hint."
So I expect that it is not him.

Dumbledore is in my view needed as a mentor for Harry for the rest of
the series.

Hermione is the main female character and I see that there is noone to
replace her in that role.

I agree with the comments that Black has not been in the stories enough
to kill him.

This has lead me to go with the teacher idea. Leaving me suspecting
McGonagall to die.

Simon
