The following is a quote from a JKR interview: "It is likely that the
reader will only care about one of the deaths."

I have just being thinking about this some more and there are very few
people who I would not care about if they died. The way that JKR has
answered the question leaves open the possibility of Voldemprt dying as
most people would care about his death. Likewise no indication is given
that it is a good person. Caring and liking are two different emotions.
