Well as a matter of fact.....

In Russia there is a great deal of folklore about shamans who used to live
in the far north. They beleived that there was a sort of "head shaman"
as it were who lived in the far, far north, and with whom they would
connect with spiritually during the winter solstice. Thsi "head shaman"
would give them gifts, which they would then distribute among the people
(spiritual gifts really....)

The head shaman was reputed to be a fellow witha long white beard who
wore a red suit and rode a cart pulled by reindeer.

Mind you I am abbreviating the legend massively, but Santa Claus does
in fact have magical and pagan roots!

I don't know about the floor powder, but I would approve making that a
part of the whole dish!
