10 galleons is rather steep. But do you remember, in CoS, when the
Mrs. Weasley has to empty their vault to do the school shopping? Didn't
they only have one galleon in their vault? Or maybe it was just a
few.... I don't remember exactly, but in either case, even if a galleon
is equivalent to about $25 in the US, that can't be anywhere near enough
for all the items they will need to buy, not even with second-hand books
and robes for Ginny. If it's less than .....hmmmmm. We know the Weasleys
are poor, but is it that bad?
