Well, not *entirely* unheard of: Ilya Borders plays pro-baseball on an
otherwise male team...Although I gather she has to contend with a lot
of resentment from her macho, testosterone-bloated teammates. Quidditch
teammembers are always supportive of each other.

This mutual support also seems to be exceptional in the Wizarding
World... When I was at school, if I did something wrong or showed a
deficiency of athleticism on a team, I got tied to a tree and force-fed
dry grass.
