Penny,
I agree. As one who is stillllllllllll waiting on HP 1 to arrive (it's
been shipped on the 16th, and was supposed to be here yesterday but
officially the 20th thru the 23rd, grr), I understand the concept. If
you want to read a series, you always start at the beginning. It's not
like the books aren't available anywhere in town. Mine came from Amazon
due to lack of car, and the price wasn't bad (9.97), Yahoo auctions
have them up daily (have an alert called Harry Potter, and it pulls up
realllly interesting things, like a coffee mug this morning, and the
t-shirts yesterday), and local bookstores (although I haven't checked)
should have them in stock, or the availability to back-order them. There
is no excuse to start in the middle.

(It's a real temptation to though!)
