With all this hoopla on the casting of "Harry Potter", other important
details have been ignored like who do you think would be the best behind
the scenes people for the movie? Here's a few suggestions:

The Visual Effects - I hear Robert Legato (the guy who won an Oscar for
sinking the "Titanic" and helped recreate "Apollo 13") is in charge of
bringing the Quidditch game to life and creating a computer-generated
Voldemort. Good choice.

The Creatures/Makeup Design - Who's gonna create Fluffy, Nordbert and
the Troll? If I was producer/director, I'd pick either Stan Winston or
Jim Henson Creature Shop. For make-up, I'm going with Rick Baker.

The Music - This is a very important element in the film. He (or she) is
gonna compose the "Harry Potter" theme (which will probably be used in
all seven films much like the James Bond or Superman theme). The music
also must be good enough to make us hum it as we reread the books. Five
composers come to mind:
a.) John Williams - For those of you who heard his score for "Home Alone",
the type which I believe is most suited to "Harry Potter", you know why.
b.) Danny Elfman - One of the best film score composer in contemporary
cinema, IMO. His credits include the first two "Batman" movies, "Sleepy
Hollow", "Men In Black" and "Good Will Hunting". He will capture the
"dark" and "weird" mood of the world of "Harry Potter" no doubt.
c.) James Horner - He did the "Titanic" score, of course. He also composed
"Apollo 13", "Braveheart", "Aliens" and "An American Tail". Hands up
anyone who wants him to put words to his music and have Celine Dion sing
it during the closing credits! I predict the title song is: "Believe In
The Magic" (LOL).
d.) Rachel Portman - Probably one of the very few women composers working
in Hollywood today (if I'm not mistaken, she's a Brit too). She did the
beautiful score to "The Cider House Rules".
e.) Randy Newman - A lot of people may disagree on this but with his
work on the two "Toy Story" movies, "A Bug's Life" and "James and the
Giant Peach" are noteworthy.

The Production Design - Who is best suited to bring J.K. Rowling's
imagined places to life? Who's gonna create Privet Drive, Diagon Alley
and of course, Hogwarts? Being a film buff, three people come to mind:
Bo Welch (he did the sets of "Men In Black", "A Little Princess", etc.),
Eugenio Zanetti (he did "The Haunting" - bad film, great sets and "What
Dreams May Come") and the guy who did "Sleepy Hollow", Rick Heinrichs.
