New Orleans is like a little slice of home in some places...love listening
to the people talk! Saint Louis isn't really that bad, little French areas
still exist here, but people still look at me funny when I pronounce it
"San Loui".
I did not find the "ethnic stereotyping" offensive at all. I think it
added depth to the story, if that makes any sense. The thing is, the
French are very proud people, and it shows in the characters. On the
same level, Gereman people tend to be more stoic, and it come across that
way in the book. I think it simply serves to make the books more diverse.
Well, that's my opinion. Like I've said before, I could be wrong, but
probably not.
