<<If Hagrid was going more or less in a straight line from Godric's Hollow
to Little Whinging, Surrey, can we assume that the Potters lived in Wales,
or possibly even Ireland? Britishers, comment please?>>
A straight line from southern Surrey, through Bristol, skims South
Wales, passing through Glamorgan and Dyfed. Travelling on to Ireland,
we're talking south of the island - Cork, Kerry or Limerick, perhaps.
'If the passengers on the left of the aircraft would care to look out of
their windows now' I think Godric's Hollow is either just near Bristol,
or in Wales.
Bristol sits north of the Mendip Hills. South of Mid- or West Glamorgan
or maybe somewhere in the Rhondda Valley is most likely...
'Godric' has a sort of English/Welsh border feel to it, which doesn't
help.
