Hi:
Let's see -- I said: <<<"Who's to say that Fred, George & Lee aren't
the only Gryffindor males in
their year?">>>
Then, Simon said: <<<I would have thought that there must be some other
boys in there year.
Otherwise we are left with 3 pratical jokers and no one to do any
work!>>>>
Then, I responded with: <<<"Ahem . . . . why pray tell need there be
other *males* to *do the work*??? <vbg>">>>
Simon has now asked: <<<Is this from a film? You make it sound as if I
should know it! McGonagall
strikes me as someone who wants a good average performance from her
students. I am sure she would do more to get the three to work if they
were the only males in the year as the average grade would be quite
low. Having said that Ron says they still get reasonable grades!>>>
I was kidding you! My point was that you seemed to imply that if there
were only 3 males, no work would get done, regardless of how many females
there were in Fred, George & Lee's class. I don't think you meant it that
way at all; it just struck me that it could be interpreted that way &
I laughed out loud. I think what you meant was just that there wouldn't
be any males to do any real work if those 3 were the only ones in their
year. But, I laughed and thought, "yeah, but maybe they've got lots of
Hermione type females in their year!" So . . . it was just me ribbing
you a bit. Sorry for the confusion; it was my own weak attempt at some
sarcastic humour!
