Hi:

<<Re-reading Book 1, Hagrid tells Dumbledore that baby Harry fell asleep
over Bristol as they were flying to Surrey where the Dursley's live. If
Hagrid was going more or less in a straight line from Godric's Hollow to
Little Whinging, Surrey, can we assume that the Potters lived in Wales,
or possibly even Ireland? Britishers, comment please?>>>

On harrypotteranonymous, we debated this issue a few months back. Nick &
I more or less determined that probably they were in Wales, although we
didn't find any of those obvious geographical clues as with finding out
where the Burrow is. There was some village in southeastern Wales that
was somewhat close as I recall.
