I've always liked the touch in the Kirk Douglas version of _Ulysses_ in
which Circe looks like Penelope and the Sirens speak in Penelope's voice.

I'm afraid I'd have a hard time equating Percy with Ulysses:
Percy: I suppose we could get out of Polyphemus' cave by getting the
cyclops drunk on wine and then putting out his eye... But that would
require filling out all the appropriate Department of Magical Creatures
forms in quintuplicate and getting Mr. Crouch's signature...
