Okay, I admit that I *really* went for the blasted meeting, but the
tediom of that was offset by romantic thoughts about Hogwarts.
I also went to a cash machine and came away with three Scottish ten
pound notes! Hurray! These are legal tender in Britain, but only if you
want to exchange them for three English ten pound notes at a recognised
bank. If you want to exchange them for food, clothing, luxury goods or
a taxi ride, they might as well be Galleons.
That leads me on to a thought [as I scrape 'I WILL BE ON TOPIC' x 5000
on my blackboard].
Just in case....

Harry his this stack of gold, silver and bronze sitting in his Gringotts'
vault, but what does he do for money in the Muggle world? The answer
seems to be that he lives on the generosity (yeah, right) of the
Dursleys. Unless he likes having a frugal, monastic existence, why
doesn't he exchange a gold Galleon or two for muggle cash?
Does the magical gold turn to base metal if transferred to muggleland,
or disappear after a while, like Leprachaun gold?
Is this quandary mentioned anywhere?
