Hi:
Here's that darned old spoiler space -- spoiler space - spoiler
warning. Hey Smitster, I never can read anything you post after your
spoiler warning because you're using punctuation marks as spoiler space
rather than letters (I get these posts via email). I think Simon has
mentioned the same problem.

As far as humor goes -- this is one of the best of the GoF
chapters!! Especially in the audio versions -- Jim Dale gives a hysterical
side-splitting performance as far as the Weasleys being trapped behind the
boarded-up fireplace. He emphasizes Fred's sarcasm & George's muffled
voice (muffled from being pressed up against the wall). It's really
quite funny!
And, I *love* that Mr. Weasley draws attention to the Dursleys' rudeness
& ill-treatment of Harry. He basically forces Mr. Dursley to at least
say good-bye to Harry. It's wonderful that Harry has a family in the
Weasleys now --- even a bit of a father-figure in Mr. Weasley. I think
he prefers Sirius in that role, but he can also turn to Arthur Weasley
as a role model.
I'll wait to post Ginny comments until Melanie kicks off that discussion.
