Well, since Harry was nearly one the answer's going to be "yes"!

Cool Snape theory, though I hold firm to the view that Snape was in love
with Lily, (not her brother. )

Oh... and I can't remember if Dumbledore's age is being discussed here
or somewhere else, but he defeated Grindelwald in 1945 (does anyone
else really like that link between wizarding and real events?). Sorry
if that's not relevant here.

Some pointless wonderings of my own:
WHY does Snape favour Draco? Maybe Lucius Malfoy got him the teaching job?

Why won't Dumbledore give him the Defence against the Dark Arts post? I
have no clue here, but don't think it's because he doesn't trust him.

What did he know about the Chamber of Secrets? More than he was telling,
that's clear if you read the book carefully.

Why did Sirius try to *kill*him? There must be some back story there.

Gaah... Snape is an unsolvable Man of Mystery, to me anyway.

If any ingenious person has ideas about him, I'd love to hear them!
