The Anglophile, World War II buff and historian in me thinks this is a
very cool observation. The American in me, however, can't help pointing
 out that Albion (Albus) couldn't have defeated Germany (Grindelwald)
 in 1945 without the help of the Yanks. <vbg>

I should have seen that one coming!

Perhaps Albus has a cousin, who lent him a 20-inch wand that did for
Grindelwald, or perhaps the pair of them just drove over him in a tank. I
guess we'll never know.
