<...hear from other members about how they got into Harry Potter in the
first place...>

While revising, about 2 months ago when I was just starting this long
boring process, I decided that I wanted something to read and chose the
'latest phenomenon' expecting a normal kids book. I really enjoyed the
first and then read the second and third.

<I've already noticed that most of you are women (five points to
Gryffindor!) and concluded that most of you are either parents, teachers,
writers or witches (or all of the above) and that many of you were,
like me, introduced to the books by another fan.>

No. No. No. No. No. No. (I think that answers that!)

<I'd like to know how you felt reading the books for the first time,
and when you realised this was no ordinary experience...>

I have no idea how to explain this, except that once I had started I
was not going to stop reading until I had finished.

<Also, do any other authors grab you in quite same way?>

Terry Pratchett.

Simon
