Okay then. I posted an "essay" quite a while back, so I'll just hit the
high points this time: I've always enjoyed kids' books; noticed the
NY Times bestsellers list; was curious about a kids' book that could
generate such interest; bought the first in paperback; finished it that
night; went back to the store and bought the others immediately.
And in answer to my "type":
female - yes
parent - no
teacher - no, but should be
witch - sometimes I think so (I get a twinkle every now and then)
refered by another fan - no
On to another topic (my computer at home is dead, so I'm back at work
trying to recall all of our recent posts): I get the feeling that Hagrid's
dialect is something unique and all his own. And though the Weasley's
are definitely British, I always hear Mrs. Weasley, especially during
the howler scene, as very Irish.
