Yikes! Leave your computer for the weekend and it's overrun with
messages. Took me forever to get caught up.

Just a short reply about Sirius' motorcycle. I don't believe it was Sirius
who said he didn't need it. It was Hagrid who was remembering that night
during the discussion about Sirius in the inn. The discussion with Fudge,
McGonagall, and Flitwick that our intrepid trio overheard. Hagrid was
saying he should have been suspicious about Sirius lending him the bike
when Sirius loved it so. Then Hagrid went on to say that Sirius knew he
wouldn't need it. Just Hagrid speculating about what happened.
