Neil.. you are quite right, it wasn't until I got home that I realised
that I had heard the name before - Thomas Taylor had done the illustration
for Philosophers Stone (Canada and UK covers).

I agree about the difference between the pic on PS and GoF... I think
that The Mail may have some facts wrong, as i think GoF picture is more
of a Cliff Wright design than a Thomas Taylor. Though of course it could
well be something to do with the change in target age.

So... anyone have a B/W pic of a dragon dating back to the prehistoric
days? Didn't think so. Maybe they will use a pic of Drago from
Dragonheart!

I've got to find the time to even read them, yet alone respond! Why is
work so busy... if only it would be quiet - then I can spend my time
