...I tried to look up at what you said... I don't have book 3 but I
checked up book One...
Anyway, that little passage you found about the seven years thing,
it actually isn't about quidditch cup... its about the house
championships/cup... so harry was right in thinking that Gryffindor
hadn't won for "nearly 7 years" in this book
but maybe the references that you found in book 3 about seven years/8years
deal with the Quidditch cup and not the house championship...
I don't know, maybe they won quidditch cup 2 or 3 years without winning
house cup? maybe after charlie had helped them secure quidditch cup
cup but they had not manage do to so with the house cup. so then maybe
chalie's only been gone 4 or 5 years since book 1....
do you think you could double check to see whether my deduction about
Harry thinking that it had been nearly 7 years since winning house cup
is correct? I'm not sure if i'm looking at the exact same passage as
you because I have the brit version, but for reference the passage that
i think you're talking about goes...
"The idea of overtaking Slytherin in the house championship was wonderful,
no one had done it for nearly seven years, but wouldthey be allowed to,
with such a biased referee?"
But still, you're right that Charlie and Percy still do have a significant
age gap...
now i'm curious and I'll be pestering one of my friends to give me back
my prisoner of azkaban so I can check up the references you gave.
this has been fun researching through the books... you pick up so many
little things here and there huh?
