Many good and interesting posts. Here are some things I wanted to share
after reading some earlier posts.

Pixzee in her 'Shakespearian Name' post had asked about any significance
in Hermione's name. Rowling did, in fact, say in a speech given at the
National Press Club that she got the name from 'A Winter's Tale' but
said that her Hermione "bares little relation" to Shakespear's. (Audio

More on Lupin: according to Rowling during her interview on 'The
Connection,' Lupin is one of her most favorite characters and he will
reappear in Book #5. Which is great since I also enjoyed him. (Audio

The Scholastic interview revealed something funny in how new wizards
are found. A magic quill records the names in a book. Interesting.
