Oh, my goodness!  I thought I was the only one.  I "second" the 
Crookshanks nomination.  It's not that I'm really scared of him--it's 
just that I agree with a lot of you guys--we don't know what or *who* 
he really is.  Of course, he could just be exhibiting normal cat 
behavior.  (Wonder why American English leaves out the u in words 
like behavior?  Oh well.)  I much prefer dogs over cats.  Hold your 
tomatoes, cat lovers!

It was interesting to read of the choices.  Voldemort does not really 
scare me.  The Death Eaters do.  The Basilisk, Nagini, and the boa 
are all creatures I like, but then again, my alma mater's mascot is a 
rattlesnake.  ;)  

The creatures that scare me most are the Dementors.  Not only do we 
not know their motivation and allegiances, their abilities are 
frightening.  The most frightening thing in the world is reliving 
your worst real-life nightmare.  And I sure wouldn't want my soul 
sucked out.
