Is Dumbledore right in the head?

One thing that worries me about Albus Dumbledore is his occasional eccentric
behaviour, usually revealing itself in his childish sense of humour
e.g.:
"...I would like to say a few words. And here they are: Nitwit! Blubber!
Oddment! Tweak!"
and continuing through anecdotes about socks and chamber pots, and so on.
I get the impression that Dumbledore is going to become increasingly
unpredictable as he heads for senility. It may have something to do with
the fact that he keeps some of his thoughts in a pensieve - what effect
must that have on his declining brain? There's also his advanced age -
there are several references to him looking old and weary at the end of GoF.
I don't think Dumbledore will die until the last gasp of Book 7, but I do
think he could become dangerous. As a powerful wizard with an unhinged
brain, who knows what he might do?
Just a few random thoughts, before I go out to get pissed.
