Alix, you probably missed the report I wrote in the Yahoo incarnation of
this club, following the King's Cross launch. Nick Mitchell (who lives
pretty close to London) and I were both there too and we took lots of photos
(most of mine were dreadful, but his digital ones were really good and he
followed the train up to Didcot as well). We certainly didn't get as
intimate with the author as you did though <g>. We must have been standing
right behind you all that time, as I was close enough to hear the press oiks
braying for JKR to give them a smile.

Pity we didn't manage to meet up on the day.
