If there is a group lecture on the subject, Madam Pomfrey would
give the lecture to the girls. Not as funny, but more effective.
Altho' wizard folk may believe that a combination of gutter and
library is the best way to learn about sex, with marginal
intervention by house master or parent to make sure they know about
contraceptives.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that Madam Pomfrey gives a talk to the
first-year girls soon after they arrive ... about menstruation, not
about where babies come from. (The newspapers tell me that little
girls nowdays reach menarche significantly before they turn 11, but
that is one of the things that I trust their internal magic to keep
the good old-fashioned way.) What do witches do? Magically suppress
their periods, use magic never-leaking tampons (charmed against Toxic
Shock Syndrom) and magic pain-killers? Does Pomfrey teach them to do
their own moon-cycle Charms or do they troop to the Infirmary once a
month?
