Hello:
I can *so* see this-- the boys in the fifth-year class are sent out
to play Quidditch while the girls are administered that infamous
contraception-and-womanhood talk. I can't imagine Flitwick giving
that lecture, though-- but the thought of McGonagall teaching that
particular branch of magic to the girls brings tears to my eyes.
Something along the Snape-Parkinson scene posted a bit ago, but on a
larger scale. Lavender and Parvati giggle throughout.
And then, the next day, the girls are sent out of the room, while
Snape *muffles a snicker* has to lecture the boys
on "responsibility". Of course, 15 is a tad too late to start
teaching these things and they know all about the "goblins and
gnomes" already... but Ron, seeing the opportunity to simultaneously
embarrass and annoy Snape without consequences, takes the liberty of
asking about *everything* in full-on detail. But poor, poor
Neville! He'll be forever confused and will grow up thinking that
the baby comes from the Goblin Fairy.
(All right, weird, I know. But keep in mind that the above message
was written by the girl who fell asleep during the sixth-grade sex ed
films and caused the health department considerable distress.
"How on Earth is Sue supposed to find these things out without
watching our archaic, outdated films from the Stone Age? Whatever
shall we do?")
Yeah, I'm going to shut up now. ^_^
