Yes.  It's a really over-the-top ice cream sundae in a very tall glass
which, I suppose, looks like the leg of a pair of knickerbockers.  I've
mentioned before that I've always regarded it as being a very American-style
dessert (ironic, since most Americans have never heard of it) and that early
New York residents were nicknamed Knickerbockers.
