You may be right about that, but IMO it would make it even more surprising
that we haven't seen a husband or wife of one of the teachers, so far. The
Yule Ball springs to mind as a good opportunity to have mentioned one or two
'extras'. If they had quarters in the school or lived in Hogsmeade, isn't
also likely that they'd get involved in school life now and again (wasn't
Mrs Chipping often entertaining the pupils in ..."Mr Chips"?). Anyway, I
seem to be doing this 'lonely teachers' theory to death... I'll shut up now.
