I remember getting the sex-ed/menstruation talk at school when I was in
fifth grade and again in sixth.  They separated the girls from boys...but
now that I think about it I don't recall any actual sex ed, it was mostly
about getting periods.  I do remember my sixth-grade teacher describing to
a fascinated audience about what labor was like.

My Mom never gave me the talk.  I figured it out on my own.
