That's why educators get so furious at right-wing parent interest 
groups who tell us that "Sex ed should be taught in the home."  It 
almost never is.  Peers are usually the ones who give the Talk.  And 
while some kids and teens can sift the b.s. away from cold clinical 
fact, others aren't nearly as discerning.

Most of my friends who are also in their 20s can't relate to my 
stories about my mother's books, diagrams, and educational mail-order 
videotapes.  I, in turn, am shocked by their stories about how they 
found out the essentials and all the misinformation they believed.  
But my mother has a *very* strong personality--she believe in giving 
us her point of view about everything before anyone else could.  
That's where I get my opinionated big mouth from.  ;)

To get back to the topic, I am almost positive that Hogwarts has no 
sex education course and that students must fend for themselves on 
that issue.  Poor kids.
