My husband is firmly convinved that James Potter is the grown up version of
James of the Giant Peach, and that's why Harry has no grandparents (or
great-aunts!) on his father's side.
I'm firmly convinved that he's wrong, more or less, but it would make sense
for James' parents to have passed away early in his life - it would explain
the lack of grandparents & other family on his father's side, and explain
why he & sirius were "like brothers"...
(btw - Elizabeth - congrats on the appointment!)
(OT - do any of you live in the Washington DC area? If they ever play Willy
Wonka at a Cinema Drafthouse on a weekend afternoon again, go, sit in the
back, and order a chocolate sundae (or knickerbocker glory) to eat while
watching the film!)
