Thing is, there's a kind of threshold around the age of 11 or 12
where it suddenley becomes very, very, very unhip to like boy
band -style music. At least in this country, and at least for
boys.

I don't care whether it's popular or not but rather whether it's
good or not. I was thinking more from a sales point of view -
saying that they'll alienate people (me!) if they use
boyband/elton john/tim rice/whatever. But that demographic is
probably very small, and not in their target market anyway, so
it probably won't matter.

Anyway, the music isn't really the point, and I suppose if they
use Boyzone or something then they might make some more money,
which'll make the Harry Potter brand a little healthier,
which'll mean more books. Or something.

Although I'd still  be happier if they went the soundtrack
rather than popular songs route.

I'm not making very much sense, am I?
