That's kind of what I meant to be saying, although I didn't put it as
succinctly as Eggplant here - that she is brilliant, and that she is more
naturally gifted in that area than Harry and Ron - but I didn't mean to
insinuate that she should be in Ravenclaw - quite the opposite in fact, that
one can be the brightest academic in the year, but that it doesn't have to
be one's overiding modus operandi, hence putting Hermione, as Eggplant
supports with the quote, in Gryffindor.
