I guess so but, I think it is possible if not likely since Hermione
is based on JKR ad she's not Jewish. Hermione is not a Jewish name
either but a classical one. I'm not sure whether that makes a
difference though.
Also you mention that Hermione wishes them a Merry Christmas...is
this a change for the American edition being that most British people
say Happy Christmas?
