I would think that the DADA postion would be just as good as any of the 
others.  The fact that Snape (as a double-agent) is in Hogwarts is what's 
important.  However, if you're a spy for Voldemort isn't the DADA position 
the best possible cover? 

I'm still sure that Snape doesn't want the position.
