However, I must admit to being a bit suspicious when we were told "It was
the sort of thing Lupin would have done" in so many words, after Moody took
Neville to his office, talked to him, and gave him a book. On the one hand,
it was an indication of Harry's favorable response to Moody, but on the
other, it sort of jumped out at me as "author wants this association drawn,
wonder why?" Because JKR loves to let you assume and take for granted,
before she makes all clear. Usually it's done a little less heavy-handedly.
