scary things and kids

Yeh, I would be careful about scary books and movies if I had kids.  
When I was about 6 years old, some idiot took me to see the Hitchcock 
movie The Birds.  I had to be taken outside in the middle of the 
movie.  It wasnt until I was in my 20s that I realized why birds 
always made me feel nervous.  I have pretty much gotten over it, 
although to this day I am appalled when I see a photo of someone 
standing inside a big flock of them feeding them breadcrumbs.
