I was scared by the Blob, and the Fly, but was truly terrified
by Invaders from Mars. Watched it while I had a fever, and was
scared to death by it for months.
Watched it as an adult to get rid of the fear, and did fine until
the very end when it was clear that the "good" ending was a dream
and the nightmare was starting again.
