Yep, I thought of PRECISELY that same thing - Deep Magic from before 
the Dawn of Time, from L,W&W.

By the way, let's ask another question  - relating Narnia 
(specifically, _The Magician's Nephew_), and the world as described
in Tolkien's _The Silmarillion_.  Anybody else notice that both
worlds come to be, in the same way - their Creator SINGS them into 
existence?
