Very good observation.  We've discussed the recurrence of phoenix 
song at climatic moments of the plot.  I'm too sleepy to think of the 
specific refs right now--but is anything *created* when any of this 
happens?

On a more personal level, my favorite metaphor for creation *is* a 
symphony, with a certain Master composer.  We often underestimate the 
power of music, don't we?
