I believe Hermione would be the French name. In any
case, Jean Racine, a French playwright from the 17th
century, wrote a play about the Trojan war called
"Andromaque" and there's a character named Hermione
(Helen of Troy's daughter) in it. So at least the name
exists in French literature.
