 Delurks.

 Did anyone notice that the wizard who invented the golden snitch 
also lived in Godric's Hollow QttA (if they did sorry I'm newish). 
For me this pushes it towards being a village assuming that James 
Potter had inherited his home along with his money. Although of 
course the inventor of the snitch could possibly be an ancestor of 
the Potters himself and thus own the family home.
