I guess what I am trying to say is that I think it would take more 
then just something to do with the Potters to have Snape come to the 
good side.  Something that affected him in a very real, personal way.

Someone else mentioned Snape's work with potions.  I too believe that 
is what Snape's role as a Voldemort follower was. He was Voldy's 
potion master. Though I don't lean toward *Snape went back to the 
DE's*, I do believe Voldemort might give Sev a second chance.  
Something tells me that potions will end up playing a large role and 
who better to have on your side than one of the best? Oh, I also 
think potions has already played a large role that we haven't seen 
yet.
