Possibly Dumbledore finally added up a bunch of disparate facts and 
got Bart Junior.  Took him long enough, though.  Someone had been 
impersonating his friend for nearly a full year, and he hadn't 
noticed.

In the AE, pg 712, the wording is, "unless the few of us who know the 
truth stand united, there is no hope for any of us."  Which edition 
do you have?
