Amanda I must thank you (and everyone else who took the time out to 
read MY long and insane rant.) You really put things into perspective.

Just one little note. I, myself, do not have a TV, do not go the 
movies, and have no electronic games (save for the Net.) So I know 
full and well what it's like to grow up without all of it. However, 
knowing today's kids, I was amazed that none of those little whiny 
brats wanted to run home to Muggle-land to get all the goodies Dudley 
abused on a regular basis.

The responses are so interesting and I understand it all so much 
better now! Thank you very much.
