I think it took Dumbledore time get to Mooney/Harry because Mooney 
said he was going to the hospital wing, so Dumbledore may have gone 
there first; Snape and McGonnagle are patrolling the outside of the 
maze, so Dumbledore has to find them; Diggory's parents are rushing 
over, so Dumbledore has to put them off somehow.

With all of that, I guess it's a miracle that Dumbledore gets there 
in time at all.  :)
