If we allow the possibility that Dumbledore and Snape (standing in for the disgraced Sirius) worked a guardianship spell over the infant Harry as part of their activities on November 1, 1981 -- is it possible that they also worked a Fidelius Charm to hide the fact that Snape had become Harry's Protector?

It would stand to reason that, being uncertain just what the Death Eaters would get up to in the next several days, concealing Snape's involvement with stabilizing Harry's health and protection would be crucial in case he had to go back to the DEs to assist in their ultimate prosecution. I wonder if Dumbledore or even Hagrid might be a Secret-Keeper regarding the events of that mysterious day. It would also help to explain why everyone would be so evasive about D's motivation for trusting Snape.

I can't recall us having been given any restrictions on what sort of info Fidelius can be used to protect.

ps: Yet another layer to Snape's distaste for Sirius: when Snape learns/learned of Sirius innocence in the betrayal of Lily and James, he *still* has no reason to respect Sirius. Rather than rushing to Dumbledore to protest (or even prove; I should think Dumbledore could have discovered that Sirius was *not* under the magical influence of Fidelius) his innocence and fulfill his prior-agreed-to responsibility (as godfather) to baby Harry, Snape would reason, Sirius "selfishly" ran off to settle his own scores, leaving others to pick up his slack. From Snape's biased perspective, that behavior would seem almost as bad as actually having been the betrayer.
