That kind of "logic" is what's brought me to the conclusion that R/H 
shippers tend to be mainly Ron fans, and tend not to be Hermione fans 
at all. Most of them want Hermione to be with Ron simply because it's 
what Ron wants, and he's their favorite character. I'm not saying 
that people who identify Hermione as their favorite are going to be 
H/H shippers, but the common arguements of a great many R/H 
supporters do seem to be entirely incompatible with being a Hermione 
fan. Especially the "consolation prize" thing.
