Before everything else:

To all Shippers - Book 5, 6, and 7 is coming out. Can we just WAIT AND
SEE!?!?!?!?! I'm sorry, But after reading through 200 e-mails from this
group, with over half of them talking about who Hermione is going to end up
with, I just gotta say, CAN WE TALK ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE?

Okay, for the heck of it, I think it's going to be Ron. I don't want to
explain.

opposed to sex in the HP books, an entirely different question). One
thing that struck me about Hogwarts, in general, is how little adult
supervision the students have, especially at night. When McGonagall
visits the Gryffindor Common room to get the Firebolt, Harry remarks
that it is only the second time (in 3 years) that he's seen her
there. The teachers seem to rely on the prefects to keep order
within the common rooms. While that would seem to be sufficient,
especially if all the prefects are pedantic, self-important prigs
like Percy Weasley. But remember, not even Percy is immune to
teenage hormones....who knows what else he and Penelope Clearwater
were up to aside from the kissing that Ginny saw? And what the rest
of the Gryffindors were up to while Percy was, um, busy with
Penelope. (snip, snip)

I've got a couple of theories regarding anti-teenage-hormones security:
- The paintings. Nuff said.
- Filch. Nuff said too.
- Mr Norris. I'm not kidding.
- Peeves. And all the ghosts, come to think of it. They don't need to
sleep, I assume. They can go through walls. And it would just be so
embarassing to hear Peeves sing loudly,
"Ron-and-Hermione-sitting-in-a-tree..." (Ha! Got that in!)
- Fawkes. No, just kidding.

Okay, so I ran out. Stick in saltpeter up there as well.

I'd hate to think that Hogwarts was, well, more 'liberal' in matters of the
hormones. I'd say that they also have a fair amount of anti-sex security
in there that just hasn't been remarked upon because it isn't Harry's
problem yet. Or else, why does Percy and Penelope need to hide themselves
rather well?

she was considering visiting him in Bulgaria...

That would be sick. Really.
